My issue with the term LOVE is that there is no currently accepted Universal.  The term is multifaceted, elusive and frankly misinterpreted.  Ask four different people what "a chair" "a dog" and "love" is, and the Universals for the chair and the dog will be significantly more similar to each other than that of love. A great majority of thinkers limit love to how they feel (or are supposed to feel) about their family, close friends, significant others, and hobbies.  However, true Love is not just a feeling, it is a positive force...it is not weak or feeble.  It is strength:

Love is not hating your boyfriend for cheating on you; love is forgiving his act of weakness.  You can part ways, or remain with him....but love is being above petty anger and vengeance.   People show more love (simple positivity) towards strangers on the street with thoughtful politeness and consideration than they do their own friends and lovers to whom they show sarcasm, slight distrust and a growing unforgiveness.

Love is "the power that is the cause of everything good...because when you love, you are using the greatest power in the universe" ~Rhonda Byrne.

Love is an infinitely unattainable perfection that would require an omniscience physically unattainable to the restricted human mind.  Thus the goal would be to try ones best to attain that perfection, despite their human limitations.
